Monetizing an audience in 2026 looks very different from what worked a few years ago. Stuff like courses, low-ticket products, newsletter ads, affiliates, and subscriptions are getting squeezed by AI, free content, and audience fatigue. They’re not impossible, but they’re fragile and hard to rely on long-term unless you’re massive or started early. The core issue is simple: information is everywhere, attention is limited, and most monetization models are now commoditized. More content alone just doesn’t cut it anymore.
The stuff that is working focuses on experience, implementation, and real human connection. That’s where the 6 Cs come in: Cohorts, Coaching, Community, Commission (services), Conferences, and Collaboration. These models help people actually get results, not just learn things, which is why they’re harder for AI to replace and easier to charge real money for. Live cohorts, coaching, and events create accountability and momentum. Partnerships and services escape the race-to-the-bottom ad game. Less content, more outcomes — that’s the shift. (LINK)
